What a Prayer Partner is Prayer Partner
Someone who shares similar core values and spiritual beliefs as you. The key is to be willing to ask. Whenever we pray in agreement with another person, God promises to answer our requests, and He promises to be in the midst of us as we pray with two or more people. There is great power in agreement.
If the prayer of one righteous man/woman avails much, just think about what the prayers of two or more righteous people will accomplish.
Matthew 18:19-20
"Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them"
“The Godly Woman’s Adornment”
Instead of focusing our attention upon clothes, jewels, and accessories, Godly women should
focus their attention upon the precious and imperishable qualities mentioned in the word of
God. We should be anxious to accumulate these graces and adorn ourselves with them.
1 Peter 3:3-4
3) Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4) But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
Adornment is basically decoration, to adorn means to add beauty, splendor, honor or distinction.
God wants to adorn or decorate Christian women, but HIs standard of beauty is much different than that of the world.
It is important for every Christian woman to understand the biblical principles concerning adornment.
She will then be able to move in the right direction and begin reflecting God’s beauty, rather than the world’s.
PROVERBS 31:10-31
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Are you a Godly woman? Do you have a Godly woman in your life?
A Godly woman isn't perfect, rather she's learning to and trust in her Savior.
The measuring stick of your Godliness isn't based upon a compassion to other women.
( Not even the Proverbs 31 Woman) but on your personal commitment to Jesus Christ. As you continue to grow in your spirituality.
Let's look at some traits of a Godly woman.
1) Demonstrate an intimate familiarity with God's word
Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
You reveal the Godly woman in you when your thoughts, words, actions, and advice are based on the Bible and not your opinion.
2) Resonate a calm and quietness of spirit
1 Peter 3:4
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
As a Godly woman you have the inner peace of the Holy Ghost to comfort, guide and teach you when everything seems out of control.
You learn to lay your concerns at the foot of the cross and leave them there.
3) Be grounded in courage and strength
Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
A Godly woman is confident in the Lord to make all things work together for good. (Romans 8: 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.) She refuses to let fear invade her thoughts or feelings by constantly reminding herself of God's promises to never leave her.
4) Be relentless in prayer and intercession
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing.
A Godly woman never gives up praying, she's continually sted fast in prayer and fasting for herself and others" She is a woman of prayer".
" A Prayer Warrior"
5) Forgiving Heart
Colossians 3:13
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
As a Godly woman your forgiveness is unconditionally given to all others as you are unconditionally forgiven by God.
Don't carry un-forgiveness in your heart but give everything over to God trusting and knowing that He'll take care of it in His time and in His way.
We may not score a 10 in these traits every day or every hour. However by trusting in God and taking it one day at a time, step by step we'll grow deeper in maturity in Christ. With the help of The Holy Ghost leading and guiding us we can become that godly woman that God intends for us to be, and ti become a woman used by God, for His purpose and Glory in our life here on earth.
Are you willing to become a woman used by God?
