Church Beliefs
We believe in One Lord, One Faith and One Baptism
John 14:1-14
1 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life: and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness: and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent by God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that
believe on his name.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the Father,)
full of grace and truth.
Thessalonians 4:13-18
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 The we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
One
Colossians 2:9
For in him dwelleth all fullness of the Godhead bodily.
Isaiah 9:6 ( Jesus is the Father)
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
John 14:9
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father how sayest thou then, show us the Father?
Jesus is Immanuel
Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall his name Immanuel.
Matthew 1:23
BEHOLD A VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD, AND SHALL BRING FORTH A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL, which being interpreted is, God with us.
1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory .
John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)
full of grace and truth.
We believe in the Apostolic Doctrine and fellowship according to the Bible
Our Creed, Discipline, Rules of Order and Doctrine is the word of God as taught and revealed by the Holy Ghost.
John 14:6, 1 Cor. 2:9-13
We believe in Repentance and Remission of sins
The only grounds upon which God will accept a sinner is repentance from the heart for sins that he has committed. A broken and contrite heart, He will not despise.
Psalms51:17, John preached repentance. Jesus proclaimed it, and before His ascension commanded that repentance and remission of the sins should be preached in His name, beginning at Jerusalem.
Luke 14:47
And Peter fulfilled this command on the day of Pentecost. (see Acts 2:38)
We believe in Water Baptism
The scriptural mode of baptism is immersion, and is only for those who have fully repented, having turned from their sins and a love of the word. It should be administered by a duly authorized minister of the gospel, in obedience to the word of God, and in the name of Jesus Christ, according to the Acts of the Apostles 2:38, 8:16, 9:5; thus obeying and fulfilling Matthew 28:19
We believe in Divine Healing
The Lord alone is our healer. (Exodus 15:26; Psalms 103:2,3)
The Lord made our bodies. Should it be thought a thing incredible that He can heal us?
With His stripes, we are healed.
(Isaiah 53:4,5,) with (Matthew 8:14-17)
See ( John 14:12) (Mark 16:17) (James 5:14)
The Lord's Supper
Melchizedek, the Priest of the Most High God, gave the first Communion to our Father Abraham, consisting of Bread and Wine. (Genesis 14:18) Christ, being come a High Priest "after the order of Melchizedek" evidently administered the same.
(Hebrews 6:24). (Matthew 26:26-29), (1 Corinthians 11:23-32). Must be kept literally.
We Believe in Feet Washing
This ordinance is as much a divine command as any other New Testament ordinance. Jesus gave us an example that we should do even as he had done. He said that we ought to wash one another's feet. And again, " if we know these things, happy are ye if you do them" (John 13:4-17). There is scriptural evidence that this was practiced by the Church in the day of the Apostle Paul (1 Timothy 5:10) Must be kept literally.
The Deity Of Jesus Christ
We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He is not only therefore son of Mary, Son of God, and the son slain before the foundation of the world, but the very God Himself. He is none other than "Immanuel" God with us. (Matthew 1:23)
We do not deny the Father, son or Holy Spirit, but, know that the Bible teaches that these three are ONE
(Deuteronomy 6:4 John 10:30, Ephesians 4:5)
Both the Old and The New Testament Scriptures teach that Jesus is the Everlasting Father. (Isaiah 9:6, John 14:9) Therefore, "Without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness. God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angles, preached unto Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
(1 Timothy 3:16)
SINNER’S PRAYER
Dear God in Heaven, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I’m so sorry for my sins and for the life I have lived. I ask You for forgiveness and to cleanse me with Your blood from unrighteousness. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:19, if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus Christ as Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Him from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Thank You, Jesus, for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
Amen.
